It’s far back in 2007 when Michael Bay surprised all movie fans with “Transformers,” the live-action film that adapted Hasbro’s action toys. Since then, the saga has seen the firing of Megan Fox, among many others. Now, for the seventh episode, Michelle Yeoh and Pete Davidson have joined the cast.
In 2018, the Autobots and Decepticons franchise had a reboot, as a spin-off with “Bumblebee,” which starred Hailee Steinfeld, Dylan O’Brien and John Cena. The story of “Transfomers: Rise of the Beasts” will be set in the year 1994 and will adapt the events of “Beast Wars” from the comics. In the cast, Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback will be the protagonists, giving life to Noah and Elena, the new duo that replaces Megan Fox with Shia LaBeouf and Mark Wahlberg with Nicola Peltz.
Noah and Elena will be the protagonists of a conflict that will bring the Autobot and Deceptic back to life, but will introduce new enemies and allied factions, Maximal, Terrorcon and Predacon. “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts” will also include Optimus Prime, Arcee and other classic characters from the franchise. Paramount Pictures will release the film on June 9, 2023.
