Netflix has released a final guide for the next fantasy adventure film The school of good and evil. This film comes from the director Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, ghost catchers, spies), and has a great cast led by Charlize Theron, Kerry Washington, Sofia Anna Caruso And Sofia Wylie.
The story “follows best friends Sophie and Agatha, who find themselves on opposite sides of a modern fairy tale when they are swept away to an enchanted school where young heroes and villains are trained to protect the balance between good and evil.”
The film is based on the best-selling book series that was written by Soman Chainani, and this first film is an adaptation of the first of six books in that series. Here is the complete synopsis:
In the village of Gavaldon, two misfits and best friends, Sophie (Sophia Anne Caruso) and Agatha (Sofia Wylie), share the most unlikely of bonds. Sophie, a fairytale lover, dreams of escaping her normal village life, while Agatha, with her dark aesthetic, has the characteristics of a real witch. Then one night, under a blood-red moon, a powerful force takes them to the School of Good and Evil, where the true story of every great fairy tale begins. Yet something is wrong from the start: Sophie is dropped off at the School for Evil, run by the charming and sour-tongue Lady Lesso (Charlize Theron), and Agatha in the School for Good, which is overseen by the cheerful and kind Professor Dovey (Kerry Washington). According to the school teacher (Laurence Fishburne), only the kiss of true love can change the rules and send girls to their legitimate school. But when a dark and dangerous figure (Kit Young) with some mysterious ties to Sophie re-emerges and threatens to completely destroy the school and regulation, the only way to a happy ending is to survive the fairy tale first.
