Star Trek: Picard Season 3 is leading the Star Trek: The Next Generation get back together for one last epic adventure. This was the goal of the last season of Picardand although this may actually be their final mission, Patrick Stewart and the rest of the cast is ready to make another movie!
During New York Comic Con last weekend, a fan asked the crew if Picard it will really be their final release. Gates McFadden she replied for the first time saying that she would be happy that it went on “forever”. Jonathan Frakes added that “they are not dead yet,” followed by Marina Sirti saying: “Only old”. Brent Spiner then jokingly suggested that he could get a solo series as the lead.
As for what Patrick Stewart he’s thinking, he said, “I know there are some people from Paramount + here and also from Paramount Pictures, we could still make a movie.” Frakes went on to talk about how there is a Star Trek-shaped hole in the Paramount Pictures release schedule that follows Star Trek 4. He then suggested that maybe a new one Next generation film could fill that void.
After Picard’s third season trailer was released online, Frakes shared it on social media with the following note: “The final journey. Maybe not final …”
We just have to wait and see what happens next Star Trek: Picard ends. If something happens with another Next generation movie that will be great. What do you think? Would you like to see The Next Generation continue with a new movie?
