what can we expect
In “The Batman”, Farrell plays Oz (Oswald Cobblepot), the head of the Gotham mafia. The series, which doesn’t actually have an official name, will focus on his rise in the criminal underworld. and how the criminal network he leads is forming, controlling the politics of a corrupt society in the shadows. It appears that Reeves will produce and supervise the scripts, while Lauren LeFranc (“Impulse”, “Agents of SHIELD”) will be the showrunner. Dylan Clark (‘The Batman’, ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’) will serve as executive producer.
Despite being based on a mythical comic book character like Batman’s villain, when the project was announced, Reeves explained that the series will take a very new and different approach to what we’ve seen of the character and which could be compared in style to detective dramas like “The Price of Power”. In addition, two other series from this universe are also underway: one focusing on the Gotham Police and another on the Arkham Psychiatric Hospital; and, of course, the highly anticipated sequel that will once again see Robert Pattinson as the Dark Knight.
