Margot Robbie talks about Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn in the JOKER sequel

Fans enjoyed seeing Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn in three DC films including Suicide Squad, Birds of Prey, And The suicide squadbut we will soon see a different actress in the role. Lady Gaga was cast for the role of Harley in directing Todd Phillips’ Joker: Folie for two.

In a recent interview with MTV News, Robbie shared his thoughts on hiring Gaga in the role, saying he is “so happy” that someone else will get the chance to play Harley.

“I said from the start that all I wanted is Harley Quinn to be one of those characters – the way Macbeth or Batman, they always go from great actor to great actor. Someone can do his Batman, or can someone do his Batman. do their Macbeth …

“I feel that, in not many cases, they are female characters, Queen Elizabeth I, but beyond that, I got to try it too, which I was honored to do. I was like, ‘Wow! Cate Blanchett did the Queen Elizabeth I. Now I get to that. “It’s such an honor to have built a solid enough foundation that Harley can now be one of those characters that other actors can try to play. And I think she’s going to do something amazing with that.”

I liked Robbie as Harley and I’m pretty confident we’ll see her play the character again. I’m excited to see how Gaga handles the character though, and I think she’s going to be awesome!

Joaquin Phoenix stars in the film alongside Zazie Beetz like Sophie Dumond, with Catherine Keener, Brendan GleesonAnd Jacob Lofland chosen for unknown roles.

All we know about the film so far is that it will be a musical set primarily in Arkham Asylum. Also, the working title of the film, Joker: Folie for tworefers to the clinical term for “shared madness”, hallucinations and delusions of two people.

The film is scheduled for release on October 4, 2024.
