“You have a showdown coming up …” Saban Films released the first trailer for Jason Momoanext western movie The last manhunt. The film tells the true story of a gang of outlaws about the biggest manhunt in American history. I love watching westerns and this looks like it’s going to be really cool! I liked what I saw in this trailer.
The film is set in 1909 and follows outlaw Willie Boy, a notorious murder who “sets off a Shakespearean tragedy, Momoa’s Willie accidentally shoots his love interest’s father after a fight gone awry. With President Taft arriving in town, a local sheriff leads two Native American pursuers in search of justice for their fallen tribal leader. “
The film featured a largely Native American ensemble cast and the story is based on “an oral history of the Chemehuevi tribe”. The film was directed by Cristiano Camargo from a screenplay by Thomas Pa’a Sibbettwho wrote history with Momoa.
Momoa is joined by Lily Gladstone (Certain women, murderers of the flower moon), Martin Sensmeier, Mainei Kinimaka, Zahn McClarnon, Raoul Max Trujillo, Brandon OakesAnd So much cardinal.
