Sony is making a new film on TARZAN after recently acquiring the rights to the film

Sony acquired the rights to the Tarzan ownership by means of the author’s original book Edgar Rice Burroughs. The studio is moving forward with a new film based on the classic tale, but plans are in the early stages, with no screenwriter, director or producer tied to what would be a complete reinvention of the popular character first created by Burroughs in 1912.

Tarzan was the son of the English nobility who was raised by monkeys in the African jungle after his parents were abandoned there and died. He had no contact with Western culture until he became an adult and “the monkey king”.

The film adaptations of the story were adapted from the beginning of the film, starting with Tarzan of the Apes in 1918, Disney’s 1999 animated film, a popular animated series of Filmation in the 1970s, and more recently a version for the big screen was Warner Bros. ‘ The legend of Tarzan in 2016 with Alexander Skarsgård as the protagonist.

I’m not sure anyone really wants a new one Tarzan movie, but maybe Sony has some interesting ideas in mind to make it stand out? I guess we’ll find out.
