The legendary MonsterVerse franchise continues to advance its universe and has now taken a very important step in developing the new “Godzilla and the Titans” series for Apple. Well, it has now been confirmed that Anders Holm has joined as one of the recurring protagonists in the next installment of the saga.

Second Deadline, Ander Holm signed for ‘Godzilla and the Titans’, in a recurring role that hasn’t been specified who he is. It should be noted that the MonsterVerse series for Apple does not have an official title for this show, but Holm joins the cast led by Anna Sawai of “Pachinko”, Ren Watanabe, Kiersey Clemons, Joe Tippet of “Mare of Easttown” and Elisa Lasowski.

Matthew Shakmandirector of “WandaVision” and who will also be responsible for restarting “Fantastic 4” at UCM, will direct the first two episodes of ‘Godzilla and the Titans’, along with executive production, along with Apple TV +. While Chris Black and Matt Fraction will serve as showrunners for the live show.

As for the story, ‘Godzilla and the Titans’ happens later ‘Godzilla: the king of monsters’, when gigantic monsters rage in the city of San Francisco. The plot is described as an exploration of “a family’s journey to discover their buried secrets and a legacy that links them to the secret organization known as the Monarch”.

Will MonsterVerse characters appear in ‘Godzilla and the Titans?

So far, it is not confirmed which of the previous MonsterVerse characters will appear in “Godzilla and the Titans”, at least until now that the series does not have a title. But it is clear that the King of the Kaijus will be present, even if it is not known what new threats he might face, but his story of him will be more focused on the organization that gave birth to Kong.

As for the second part of ‘Godzilla vs Kong’, not much is known, other than the fact that Adam Wingard is back on board the project as a director. Many rumors have been shared that he could introduce King Kong’s son, which would help them deal with “new threats” as the official synopsis progresses.

For now, the “Godzilla and the Titans” series doesn’t have an Apple TV release date, but it will be a continuation of the previous four King Kong and Godzilla movies in the MonsterVerse. More information on its development is expected in the coming weeks.
