Although in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the origins of Quicksilver and Wanda Maximoff are very different from the comics, as they are related to Magneto and the mutants. With confirmation that Hugh Jackman will return as Wolverine in “Deadpool 3”, Elizabeth Olsen would like to attend the X-Men meeting in the MCU.
“Avengers: Age of Ultron” was the introduction of Elizabet Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the MCU as Wanda and Pietro, who could not be confirmed as mutants due to the FOX rights issue. These characters were presented as the result of several experiments, but with the purchase of Disney they can now explain more about the true origins of both.
Recently, Ryan Reynolds confirmed that Hugh Jackman will return as Wolverine in “Deadpool 3”. The news gave birth to the presentation of the mutants in UCM getting closer and closer, and now Elizabeth Olsen has said she wants to be part of the X-Men reunionat a Power of Women presentation for Varietywhere he expressed his interest.
I guess Wolverine is an X-Men. It would be fun to work with a lot of those people who were part of the X-Men franchise. I guess Fassbender is my father in some world?
For the uninitiated, Magneto is the father of Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver in the Marvel comics, here’s why Elizabeth Olsen refers to the fact that, in another universe, Michael Fassbender it could be his family and, therefore, have a closer relationship with the X-Men. At the moment, it is unknown if Kevin Feige’s company will call the old cast of the franchise to return with their respective characters.
Wolverine and the presentation of the X-Men in UCM
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman will star in “Deadpool 3”, however, the fact that Hugh Jackman is back as Wolverine doesn’t make his death in “Logan” part of the MCU. The stars have made it clear that the third Mercenary with the Mouth movie takes place many years before the mutant’s demise, though they haven’t given any details on what will happen to the rest of the X-Men.
‘Deadpool 3’ and the reboot of ‘Fantastic 4’ are the films that close the UCM Phase 5, so it is assumed that before them the presentation of the X-Men will be done in the UCM. Although there are no clear details on how Marvel will be able to explain or justify the presence of these characters in their timeline all these years.
