Lionsgate has released a trailer for a chilling psychological horror thriller titled The inhabitant. The film centers on a teenage girl, a descendant of notorious ax killer Lizzie Borden, who goes mad and starts killing people.
The inhabitant is directed by Jerren Lauder (Stay out of the fucking penthouse) and stars Dermot Mulroney, Leslie Bibb, Odessa A’zion, Lizze Broadway, Ryan FrancisAnd Michael Cooper Jr. Here is the synopsis:
High school can be a nightmare for any teenager. But for Tara (Odessa A’zion) it’s different, she lives in the shadow of a harrowing family curse: she is a descendant of ax killer Lizzie Borden. When Tara starts hearing voices and having paranoid visions of slaughtering the family, her people in her small town are attacked and killed and all evidence of her points to her. Taken from her family’s past, Tara must face the demons that possess her, both real and imagined, and a shocking truth in this chilling psychological horror journey.
This movie has a decent idea, but I’m not sure it performed very well. Judging by the trailer, it doesn’t look like the best movie, but it’s a horror movie and I love watching horror movies. I’m sure I’ll see it someday. Lionsgate will release The inhabitant direct-to-VOD starting 7 October 2022.
