Sean Penn (Milk, mystical river) And Matteo Volpe (Feast of the Five, Lost) joined the cast of an upcoming limited satirical comedy called CAUGHT. The six-part Australian series will air on the Stan streaming service, written and directed by Kick Gurry (Edge of tomorrow).
Other cast members include series creator Gurry, Beautiful Heatcote (Flowering), Bryan Brown (Flowering), Erik Thomson (Black snow), Ben O’Toole (Crest of the hacksaw), Lincoln Younes (After the verdict), Alexander England (Black snow), Mel Jarnson (Mortal combat), Faysal Bazzi (Stateless), Dorian Nkono (The Twelve), And Rebecca breeds (Clarice).
The series aims for fame and stardom and “follows four Australian soldiers sent on a secret mission to a war-torn country. Mistaken for Americans, they are captured by freedom fighters and produce a hostage video that goes viral. When soldiers reach celebrity status, they realize that being captured could be the best thing that could have happened to them. “
Gurry says of the series:
“The biggest challenge for me was to create something quite worthy of all my insanely talented friends,” said Gurry. “I can’t wait to share this show with the whole world and I can’t wait for the Internet to tell me how terribly I missed the mark.”

It looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun. I love Sean Penn, so I’m looking forward to seeing him in this series. Stan plans to launch the series, which is currently in production, in 2023.
