Marvel Studios are making a big change Don Cheadle’S Armor Wars project. The film was originally developed as a TV series for Disney +, but has now been redeveloped as a feature film.
According to the report, the studio was committed to “telling the story right and in that process realized that a feature was more suited to the project.” As might be expected, due to this new direction, the project will be pushed further down the development list.
Cheadle will return as Colonel James “Rhodey” Rhodes, aka War Machine, and will make his next big MCU appearance in Secret Wars. Whatever happens with him in that will determine what happens in the Armor Wars movie.
Yassir Lester, who was working as the lead screenwriter of the series, will remain as the screenwriter of the film. At the moment, no director is connected and we don’t know at what stage of the MCU timeline the film will appear.
This is exciting news! I’m happy with the Armor Wars it will be a movie instead of a series. I think some of these Marvel shows would have benefited from being a movie rather than a series. What do you think?
