Brad Pitt surprises us with a new facet unknown to us: sculpture. The actor never tires of being successful in Hollywood, as we saw with his recent ‘Bullet Train’, and now he wants to try his luck in the world of sculpture. And it’s not just that he practices it, but he recently exhibited his creations in a museum located in Finland, along with the works of his friends Nick Cave and Thomas Houseago.

Houseago is a well-known artist who recently told an art magazine that he has celebrities like Brad Pitt among his closest friends. This artist is said to have turned to painting as a therapy to improve his mental health. For this reason, Pitt’s recent foray into the art world could be an escape window from his problems.

While filming “Once Upon a Time in … Hollywood”, Brad Pitt invited his co-star, Leonardo DiCaprio, to relax together while making ceramic figures in his home studio. It is very healthy to use art to relax, but what is Pitt’s work about? According to an article published by The Guardian, the actor’s work is defined as “penetrating and memorable images of pain and violence”.

The work exhibited by Pitt was composed of several pieces. The first, and largest, was a mural depicting sculpted bodies of men facing each other, pistols drawn. The work suggests that this is a harsh confrontation, as many of the sculpted bodies are broken, fragmented, suggesting several deaths. In addition to this striking mural, the actor exhibited a box, which appeared to be a bronze coffin, and which was covered with fragments of human bodies.

Is Brad Pitt a good sculptor?

Brad Pitt is good at many things. As an actor he is highly regarded and many of his films are acclaimed by audiences and critics alike. And as a sculptor? According to art critic Jonathan Jones: “Brad Pitt is an extremely impressive artist. He has avoided the embarrassment of celebrity art to reveal what are, in any case, powerful and valuable works.”wrote in The Guardian.
