Molly Ringwald joins the second season of Ryan Murphy’s FEUD anthology series FX

The second season of Ryan Murphythe anthological series Feud: the women of Capote joins new cast members who will tell a classic new Hollywood story that will revolve around Truman Capote. The last to join the cast is Molly Ringwaldof adolescent fame in the classics Pretty in pink, The Breakfast ClubAnd 16 candles.

In The women of Capote, Ringwald will play Johnny Carson’s second wife, Joanne Carson, a good friend of Capote who remained close to him until his death. Joins the previous cast Tom Hollander, Noemi Watts, Calista Flockhart, Diane CorsiaAnd Chloe Sevigny in the cast. Furthermore, Demi Moore is in talks for a party.

An adaptation of Laurence LeamerThe miniseries is set in the 1970s and ends with the death of Truman Capote in 1984. It tells the story of the famous prodigy author (Hollander) as he stabs many of his friends – whom he called his “swans” – on the back by publishing a short story. in roman à clef entitled “La Côte Basque 1965” on Esquire in 1975.

His close circle of swans included Babe Paley (Watts), wife of CBS chief Bill Paley; Slim Keith (lane); Pamela Churchill Harriman, former wife of Winston’s son and future wife of Slim’s husband; Lee Radziwill (Flockhart), sister of Jackie Kennedy; Gloria Guinness and CZ Guest (Sevigny).

Twice nominated for an Oscar Gus Van Sant will direct all eight episodes, with Tony and Pulitzer nominations Jon Robin Baitz writing all the episodes and serving as showrunner.

This marks a reunion for Murphy and Ringwald, who plays Jeffrey Dahmer’s stepmother Shari Dahmer in Murphy’s Netflix limited series. Dahmer, which debuts this week. Ringwald also recently appeared on the hit FX series The bear. I’ve always been a fan of her and can’t wait to see her on another project.
