
A new trailer has been released for the Hulu limited series Welcome to Chippendalesbased on the story of Chippendales founder Somen “Steve” Banerjee, played by Kumail Nanjiani (The big sick man, Eternal). The black comedy drama follows Banerjee’s journey as an Indian-American immigrant who creates the hugely popular men’s magazine show known as Chippendales.
The series is also the protagonist Spencer Boldman (Laboratory mice, Route of the jump 21) in the role of Lance McCrae, described as “the last one” and the most popular Chippendales dancer of all; Murray Bartlett from white lotus fame stars in the series as choreographer Nick De Noia; and complete the supporting cast is Andrew Rannells, Dan Stevens, Juliet Lewis, Robin De Jesus, Annaleigh Ashford, Quentin PlairAnd Nicola Peltz.
Robert Siegel is a writer, executive producer and co-showrunner on the series. It looks like it’s going to be an interesting story of a true crime within the history of the Chippendale company.
