Orlando Bloom has joined Davide Porto in the film adaptation by Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions Gran Turismo. The film is directed by Neill Blomkamp (District 9) from a screenplay written by Jason Hall And Zach Baylan. The film is also the protagonist Archie Madekwe.
The film will be based on a true story. It is described as “the ultimate tale of a teenager’s wish fulfillment Gran Turismo player whose playing skills have won a series of Nissan competitions to become a true professional racing car driver. “
I really love this story because this guy was able to translate his awesome Gran Turismo real-life gameplay skills through a series of Nissan competitions, leading him to become a professional racing car driver.
The project will go into production soon and the film will be released on August 11, 2023.
