Exclusive: The Arthouse chain has signed a lease for the former five-screen CMX Market Cinemas in Closter, New Jersey, located at 130 Vervalen St. in Closter Plaza. The new Landmark Closter Plaza will open on Friday 30 September.
Landmark will renovate the venue by installing new beds in the auditoriums. The concession offerings will expand to include new items such as caramel popcorn, vegan cookies and gourmet chocolate bars, along with traditional movie favorites like Coca-Cola merchandise and popcorn with butter.

This position positions us in another key market in the community destination hub, allowing us to expand our brand’s offering in time for the exciting Christmas movie season, ”Kevin, president of Landmark Theaters. Landmark Theaters recently opened new locations in Scottsdale, AZ and Annapolis, MD. Two more cinemas are expected to open later this year: a 10-screen location in the Chicago suburb of Glenview and a 7-screen Landmark in Pasadena, California, with more locations to be announced. The network currently has 178 screens in 24 markets.
