Stranger things star Davide Porto is set to take on a starring role in the film adaptation by Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions Gran Turismo.
Neill Blomkamp (District 9) directs from a screenplay written by Jason Hall And Zach Baylan. The film will be based on a true story. It is described as “the ultimate tale of a teenager’s wish fulfillment Gran Turismo player whose playing skills have won a series of Nissan competitions to become a true professional racing car driver. “
This teenager was able to translate hers Gran Turismo real-life gameplay skills through a series of Nissan competitions, leading him to become a professional racing car driver. This is quite an interesting story and an interesting direction for a Gran Turismo movie.
It is unknown who will play Harbor in the film. The project will go into production soon and the film will be released on August 11, 2023.
