On the other hand, the sequel “Avatar: The Sense of Water” will hit theaters later this year. It will be joined by at least three other films already confirmed by the franchise. As reported / Film, Cameron explained the reason for so many sequels: “I look back and see everyone’s work and I’m so grateful that I had the opportunity to work with these amazing people. And I think that’s why I immediately went out and wrote another and another and another movie. ‘ Avatar ‘. I just wanted to continue with this family and with this great experience”.
“Looking back with the perspective now, 12 years later, I think I am more proud of the team in a general sense…. this beauty that was created by the artists, by the designers, by the stage designers, by the people who built that world in all its details and all the creatures in it and every blade of grass “adds the director of ‘Titanic’.
The importance of 3D for Cameron
The highest-grossing film in history was a breakthrough in film technology. One of its highlights was the use of 3D, which was completely new to audiences at the time.. For this reason, Cameron highlights this advance when asked what is the film’s most influential point in modern blockbusters: “I would say that 3D has been generally accepted for a period of time. ‘Avatar’ won best photography with a 3D digital camera. No digital camera had ever won the Oscar for Best Photography. Then, two of the next three years, the Oscar-winning filmmakers used the same cameras. So you have 3 of the 4 years that the Academy has adopted digital cinematography. And all three films were in 3D. “.
Furthermore, Cameron places particular emphasis on the role that 3D technology plays in cinema today: “For most people, 3D seems to be over. But that’s not quite over. just accepted. Now it’s part of your options when you go to the cinema to see a great movie … I compare it to color. When color films first came out, it was a real event. People used to go to the movies because they were in color. I think at the time of “Avatar” people used to go to the movies because they were in 3D … I think it had an impact on the way films are presented which is now accepted and is part of the spirit of the times and how it is made.”.
