Jillian Michaels and her fiancee DeShanna Minuto were planning their upcoming Italian wedding before the fitness star asked her the question!

Jillian Michaels When he finally found the right time to ask his friend, he was literally out of time to propose, Shanna Minuto after a series of failed plans. “I had a plan to ruin our anniversary and pretend everything was going wrong, and then make a proposal: it was ruined. Then there was a family trip and it was ruined. Then I wanted to go to New York, that place. On our first date, and then it was ruined! And I, oh my god and I was like time was running out,” the fitness guru explained HollywoodLife podcast† “There would be nothing online. So it was like it was a Sunday morning and we were just lazy in bed… and you know, you’re sitting there and you’re like, ‘God, I love this person. Can’t you imagine waking up without this person?’ At that point I was like, ‘Fuck!’ and I said, ‘I love you more than anything in the world. You have been all this for me. Will you marry me?'”

The founder of the fitness app continued: “He laughed and thought I was kidding! He said, “Cute.” So I thought, ‘No, I’m serious.’ That’s it. I just gotta go get the ring!” Jillian admitted that the couple was “running out of time” as they were planning a wedding in Italy in July 2022 before the November 2021 proposal. “The planning started before the proposal, not on purpose, because the data was backed up due to COVID and I had to have two children at the same time. So it had to be summer and those really specific dates are in July,” explained Jillian.

DeShanna and Jillian started talking about the possibility of marriage after they “endured the worst” during the pandemic. “When we first met, I thought, ‘I don’t have the bandwidth for any more kids. And that’s when he said it’s okay with me if I have anything to do with your kids, but I’m going to have to get married someday. “Jillian remembers the couple’s meeting in 2018,” I thought, “Nothing’s certain, we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.” We came out of stronger people and a better couple.

He continued: “I was like, ‘Man, if I could spend my life with someone, it would be it. We started talking about it and making plans.” Jillian told HL that the couple plans to wed in Venice in July 2022 for their honeymoon in Namibia: “I will be wearing a black ready-to-wear Zuhair Murad and that bride is wearing Zuhair Murad.”

Jillian announced that her 9-year-old son Phoenix will be the best man, and her 9-year-old daughter Lukensia will be a bridesmaid. “I did my homework with Phoenix. I was like, ‘Dude, I need a party,'” she laughed. “The ideas she gave me – it’s just a disaster!”
