It seems incredible but it has been almost 4 years since the premiere of “Avengers: Endgame”. And since then, Marvel hasn’t had a united team of characters at its disposal. (aside from the impending end of “Guardians of the Galaxy”). But this is over because, for some months now, it has been known that the company has been preparing a film ‘Thunderbolts’.

This team, unlike what has been seen on screen so far, is not a group of heroes. On the contrary, they are more like the anti-heroes and villains of previous La Casa de las Ideas films. There was a lot of speculation as to who its members would be. And, during the celebration of the D23 Expo, Marvel wanted to resolve the doubt once and for all.
The “Thunderbolts” will consist of Bucky Barnes, Yelena Belova, Red Guardian, US Agent, Ghost, Taskmaster and Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. In other words, the cast will be led by Sebastian Stan, Florence Pugh, David Harbor, Wyatt Russell, Hannah John-Kamen, Olga Kurylenko and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. An exceptional cast of some of those characters who, without being totally evil, had to face the Avengers for several reasons.

With the “Thunderbolts” team already formed, Marvel has, however, ruled out other characters who had entered the cheers and bets of fans. Among them are Abomination, recently saved for “She-Hulk: Lawyer Hulka”, White Vision from “Scarlet Witch and Vision” or The Punisher, which has not yet been confirmed as part of the MCU. Of course, it’s still possible that the studio will keep those aces up its sleeve to announce them later as the latest signings of the diverse team.
“Thunderbolts” will be released in theaters on July 26, 2024.
