First official look at Halle Bailey as Ariel in “The Little Mermaid” trailer.

Here is the first trailer of ‘The Little Mermaid’, the new Disney remake that will also have a live-action treatment, after the successes they have had with ‘The Jungle Book’, ‘Mulan’ and ‘The Lion King’. In the trailer, you might even get a better look at Halle Bailey already in the character of Ariel.

It was during Expo D23 that unveiled the first trailer ‘The little Mermaid’ with Halle Bailey. The true remake of the image, the protagonist could also be heard singing ‘Part of your world’, the classic theme of the original animated film, and from which it was believed that the complete scene would come out.

The live-action remake will be directed by Rob Marshall, nominated for an Oscar for the musical “Chicago”, while Jane Goldman and David Magee are in the script. Furthermore, the director confirmed during the presentation of the D23, that ‘The little Mermaid’ will feature four new original songscreated by Alan Menken and Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Although the trailer for “The Little Mermaid” didn’t show much material with Halley Bailey, the actress and singer could first be seen characterized as Ariel. It is worth mentioning that the rest of the film’s cast includes Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, Javier Bardem as King Triton, and Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric.
