The return of ‘Daredevil’ with Charlie Cox on Disney +, now officially in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, supposes an opportunity to include various company characters in the MCU, and previously only featured on Netflix series, such as “Luke Cage”, “Iron Fist”, “Jessica Jones”, “The Punisher” and “The Defenders”. Initially, the idea was that all the series produced by the platform would be set in the UCM, however, in the end they only occasionally referred to events that happened in some films, but the characters could not be crossed or found. Ultimately, though, that all changed when Cox appeared in “Spider-Man: No Way Home” as Matt Murdock.

“Daredevil” will return to the Disney + platform as “Daredevil: Born Again”, taking on a second television series for this Marvel character. This will introduce us to Murdock in a new confrontation against the Kingpin, played by Vincent D’Onofrio. Currently are the only characters that have been confirmed for the series with which Marvel revives the ownership that began on Netflix.
As for other characters, we have a request from an actress who would like to reprise her role in “Daredevil”. This is Rosario Dawson, who gave birth to Claire Temple in the Netflix series, as the nurse who ended up becoming the protector in charge of healing the Marvel heroes. The actress told The Hollywood Reporter during an interview would give “very curious”‘return to his role.
In Dawson’s words: “You don’t even see her at the last moment you hear the phrase ‘tell Claire to go home’ in the ‘Luke Cage’ series. So what does that mean? You know it’s a terrible thing. So yeah, I’d be very curious about it. Returning to the role of Claire, although I’m very excited for the others. It was time. I was very excited to learn that all of our series are now part of the MCU, with Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio getting into these projects. So yes, 18 episodes of “Daredevil: Born Again”? I’m in! Disney, Marvel and Star Wars, you know where they are. “
Waiting for a sequel to “Ahsoka”
Filming for one of the next series in the “Star Wars” universe, “Ahsoka”, is nearing completion. However, Dawson is already thinking about a second season. This series is initially designed as a limited series, such as “Obi-Wan Kenobi”, although Lucasfilm did not make an explicit statement on this issue at the time. Fans and the actress are pretty clear: they believe the series has more to offer and that more seasons can be made that show a full story about Ahsoka’s character.
Dawson also commented in the interview with The Hollywood Reporter about the experience of recording the series with actress Natasha Liu Bordizzo, who plays Sabine Wren in fiction. The actress commented: “It just happened that it was his birthday! We have both birthdays during this project, and it’s like it’s the best present in real time. But we’re already getting sad because it’s almost done. We hope to get a following!”Dawson wished crossing his fingers, showing his hopes for the existence of such an opportunity.

It’s still early to talk about a second season, but considering it’s the hit ‘Star Wars’ saga, and a fan-favorite character, it wouldn’t be surprising if, once released, fans wanted more. We will wait and have patience until we receive an answer, while we enjoy the production, which is scheduled for release in 2023.
