Ravensburger is entering the trading card game business. The company recently announced that it will be called their first GCC in partnership with Disney Disney Lorcana and feature beloved characters “in original and reinvented artistic styles living in a whole new world with unique and magical gameplay”. In the game, players will take on the roles of Illuminators and summon characters from The Great Illuminary of Lorcana, which is a treasure trove of all Disney songs and stories that have ever been.
Rooted in Disney character magic and storytelling, Disney Lorcana is easy for TCG newcomers to learn, while offering strategic depth for seasoned players to help create opportunities for more people to enjoy. the excitement and fun of the TCGs. Disney fans will appreciate the beautiful artwork, overall storyline and play with their favorite characters in new and fresh ways, while veteran TCG players will also enjoy the thoughtful and unique gameplay mechanics Ravensburger is known for offering.
The game is set in the rich and fantastic world of Lorcana, a combination of the words Lore and Arcana. Players will take on the role of Illumineer, a powerful sorcerer, and unite the Disney characters from Lorcana’s “The Great Illuminary”, a treasure trove of all Disney songs and stories ever made.

The Disney Lorcana team is an incredible and passionate group with over a century of combined experience in creating collectible card games. Great care has been taken in creating an unforgettable world and gaming experience that will be equally enjoyable for Disney superfans, collectible card game beginners, and more enthusiastic and advanced players.
Unfortunately, we don’t know much about the gameplay, and we don’t have card images from Lorcana. However, 7 characters will be revealed at D23 this year and the game will be released globally in Fall 2023. The team is planning four new set releases per year and is working on a solid organized play program. Will you try this new TCG when it launches?
