The release of the “Smile” trailer took the Internet by surprise, quickly becoming viral across all social media. Luckily for those interested, they won’t have to wait long for its release, but as that happens, the director reveals some disturbing details from his long-awaited horror film.
Distribution is handled by Paramount, which will debut ‘Smile’ on September 30 around the world, and while its trailer teased much of the disturbing plot, there aren’t many details about what happens in the film’s story. But its director, Parker Finn, gave an interesting interview for Espinof.
Director of ‘Smile’ explains that the story is about a psychiatrist, played by Sosie Bacon, who appeared in the Netflix series “13 Reasons Why”. “She has a very bizarre encounter with a patient and then she begins to experience a series of terrifying and impossible events that she cannot explain and she begins to think that something diabolical has entered her life.”

And while acknowledging the similarities, the director assures that only the actress with the creepy smile in his new film, Caitlin Stasey, is the same one who appears in his short.
In addition to Sosie Bacon and Caitlin Stasey herself, the rest of the cast of “Smile” is completed by Kyle Gallner and Jessie T. Usher, who some will remember having appeared in “The Boys” series as A-Train. So far, the tape has undergone test screening of which no fingerprints have been revealed.
But the director assures that “Smile” will be a horror film that “people will love to talk about” and that “no one is prepared” for the story that promises to be one of the big box office hits of the genre. of horror, for the rest of this year 2022.
