‘National Cinema Day’ to Present  Movies in Participating Cinemas

All movies, all formats, all day for three dollars on September 3.

To kick off National Film Day on Saturday, September 3rd, the Film Foundation invites moviegoers to celebrate the day with discounts in theaters. Tickets will be capped at $3 per entry.

The one-day event will take place at more than 3,000 participating locations hosting more than 30,000 screens. Exclusive previews and special theatrical promotions will be available.

The promotion celebrates a record-breaking summer with movies and upcoming releases from A24, Amazon Studios, Disney, Focus Features, Lionsgate, Neon, Paramount, Sony Pictures Classics, Sony, United Artists Releasing, Universal and Warner Bros. January 3rd. September.

“After record-breaking returns to theaters this summer, we wanted to do something to celebrate cinema,” said Jackie Brenneman, President of the Cinema Foundation. “We do this by offering ‘thanks’ to moviegoers who took the tour this summer and an extra gift to those who haven’t been back yet.”
