We have heard this in the past Zack Snyderthe next science fiction action movie Rebel Moon it would be divided into two epic features. It now appears that those plans have been confirmed as Deadline revealed that upcoming movies that will receive tax credits for filming in California, and one of the movies mentioned on that list is Rebel Moon 2.
The film was inspired by a Star Wars idea that Snyder proposed to Lucasfilm, and the story is set in a “peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy that is threatened by the armies of the tyrannical regent Balisarius. They send a young woman with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from nearby planets to help them take a stand against the Tyrant.
Snyder previously said of the project: “This is me growing up as a Akira Kurosawa fan, A Star Wars fan. It’s my love of science fiction and a giant adventure. My hope is that this will also become a great IP and a universe that can be built. “
The movie stars Sofia Boutella, Charlie Hunnam, Doona Bae, Djimon Hounsou, Ray Fisher, Jena Malone, Rupert friend, Stuart Martin, Cary Elwes, Corey Stoll, Michele Huisman, Anthony Hopkins, And Alfonso Herrera.
The project is rumored to complete filming in November. It is not known when it will be released. I am thrilled with this project and hopefully numerous spin-offs could be developed as well.
