The original Disney animated classic from 1940 Pinocchio it’s one of my absolute favorites. It also features some of the most beautiful animations that have ever been created.
Well, director Robert Zemeckis directed a live-action CGI hybrid remake of Pinocchio, and like most Disney remakes we’ve seen recently, the story is pretty much exactly the same story, but it has been recreated with modern cinema technology. It looks great visually, but it’s actually the same film wrapped in updated images.
The film is a “retelling of the beloved story of a wooden puppet who embarks on an exciting adventure to become a real boy. Tom Hanks plays Geppetto, the wood carver who builds and treats Pinocchio (Ainsworth) as if he were his own son. Joseph Gordon-Levitt it’s Jiminy Cricket, who serves as Pinocchio’s guide as well as his “conscience”; Cinzia Erivo it is the Blue Fairy; Keegan-Michael Key John is “honest”; Lorena Bracco is Sofia the seagull, a new character, and Luca Evans è The coachman. Also in the cast are Kyanne Lamaya like Fabiana and Jaquita Ta’Le like his puppet Sabina, Joseph Battiston such as Stromboli and Lewin Lloyd like Lampwick.
The film will premiere on Disney + Day on September 8. Watch the trailer and write us your thoughts!
