Top Gun: Maverick still continues to kick ass at the box office, and is now the greatest Paramount Pictures movie of all time. He recently managed to overcome Avengers: Infinity War at the national box office. The movie is going really well and I’m so happy to see that people are having so much fun! I loved this film and have seen it five times already in the cinema. It’s a movie that should be experienced in a big screen cinema!
Producer Jerry Bruckheimer he recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly and explained why he thinks the film is doing so well.
“It’s always the characters, the themes, the story. That’s what it’s about; it’s the emotion, it’s about bringing Iceman back, it’s about seeing a real movie. You’re in the F-18 just like those actors are. . They’ve been trained for three months to fit into an F-18 … You can see the difficulties of what they’re doing, what they’re going through. It’s all real, it’s not made up. “
Bruckheimer went on to say:
“I think audiences have seen so much CGI, which is wonderful, I go to the same movies, but it’s also great to see the real deal and be part of a camaraderie of characters who rise to the sky and have to be the best. Possible. Audiences love Marvel, they love DC stuff. They’re beautifully crafted by really talented people. Sometimes you want to see something real, and that’s what Top Gun gave us … These airmen are out there protecting our country right now, flying around the world, and you’re taking a ride with them. You are seeing what they do, you are seeing what their life is like and the trials and tribulations they face. You are actually experiencing it with our actors. “
Hell yes! They just don’t make movies like this anymore, which is why I loved it! I also thought the way the story was played was great and incredibly funny! This is one of those rare sequels that is not only better than the first movie, but also elevates the first movie. The first movie is even better thanks to this sequel.
Marvel Studios may actually learn a few things from Top Gun: Maverick. Hopefully they have taken some notes.
