Dwayne Johnson says BLACK ADAM is a “one-of-a-kind character”

Dwayne Johnson he worked to develop his Black Adam for over a decade. This was her passion project and we are so close to seeing her vision for this movie on the big screen. I’m actually pretty excited about it; I really hope it ends up being as great as Johnson wants.

In a recent interview with Total Film, Johnson talked about the film and the interpretation of this DC character saying it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play a character like this. Speaking of the character, he said:

“I think Black Adam will be a departure from what people have seen of me on screen over the decades.

“I wanted to make sure I brought Black Adam to life, knowing it was a departure from what I had played in the past, because there are a lot of elements in Black Adam that depend on your perspective. Is he a supervillain? Is he an antihero? For some, he’s just a real superhero. There are only natural elements, I think, in me, that are part of my DNA that we see in the character of Black Adam. [But] it’s a departure from anything I’ve played before in the past. A complete departure “.

Johnson went on to talk about what makes Black Adam unique by saying:

“What makes Black Adam truly unique and different is that he too lives by a code. If you try to harm his people, his family, his country or him, he’ll tear you apart. He’ll literally grab you by the neck, and then grab your thigh and tear your body apart! ”

The actor went on to share how lucky he is to take on this role and the responsibility he has taken on:

“After being in this industry for many years, Black Adam is a one-of-a-kind character. I realize that when you walk in, you have a chance and the pressure is high. You have to dive headlong into the fire.
