Michael Shannon is making his directorial debut with a film adaptation of Eric Larue, and the cast of his film has been announced. That cast includes Judy Greer, Alison Pill, Paul Sparks, Tracy Letts, Annie Parisse, Kate Arrington, And Alexander Skarsgard.
The film was written by Brett Neveu, and is based on his comedy, whose story “follows the mother of a 17-year-old boy, who shot and killed three of his classmates. As he faces a meeting of the other boys’ mothers and a long-delayed visit to his son in prison, the story is not about violence, but about what we choose to think and do to survive the trauma. “
This is going to be an incredibly heavy and emotional film, and there are a lot of incredibly talented people involved to tell this story correctly.
