AGBO announced today that the second annual No Sleep ’til Film Fest, which invites filmmakers from around the world to shoot short films in just 48 hours, will take place from April 29 to May 1.
The free virtual festival reflects an independent film and television production company’s continued commitment to supporting new creators, encouraging attendees to use short films of three minutes or less to receive awards and mentorship. This year’s creative invite will go online at 5 p.m. PT on April 29, after which filmmakers will have two days to prepare and submit their films. Winners will be announced on 8 June.
The three winners will be selected by a jury of AGBO co-founders Anthony Rousseau, Joe Rousseau and Mike LaRoche, Story co-chairs Christopher Marcus and Stephen McPhee and creative president Angela Rousseau-Ostwat followed by Best Films. Premiere on AGBO’s social channels.
The first place winner will receive a RED Komodo starter pack that includes the Aputure LS 1200d Pro and Nova P600c light, a GoPro HERO10 Black Creator Edition camera, a copy of the Microsoft Surface Pro 8 and a Final Draft 12 script. Both finalists will receive a copy of the LS 600d Pro, as well as the F10 Fresnel, F10 Barn Doors and Light Dome 150 Aputure, GoPro’s HERO10 Black Creator Edition camera, Microsoft’s Surface Pro 8 and Final Draft 12. Three winners will enter the competition. The AGBO Storytellers Collective is an alumni network participating in other AGBO scholarship programs.
This year, the team will also join a film jury for the first time, AGBO will also nominate current members of the Storytellers Collective Award to select a winning filmmaker who will join its alumni network.
