Get ready … we have a new one Predator movies coming soon! It is entitled Prey, and it’s a damn badass Predator movie! I’ve already had the opportunity to see it and it was much better than I expected! I’ll do a review of it later, but Predator fans are expecting a real treat.
I loved the design of the new one Predator how he was so barbaric and ferocious. Prey director Dan Trachtenberg recently talked about what happened in bringing this alien hunter to life with practical effects. He told CB:
“It was a couple of people driving (the mechanisms in the mask). There are two versions of the face, there was an acrobatic version that had no movement, which was a little, just a hair safer for Dane (DiLiegro, The Predator) to work. And there was another version that was just heavier on Dane because it contained all the animatronics. And one of the things we added in this movie that strangely wasn’t, I don’t think was in the other movies. of Ptedator, it was goop. We put in some alien goop, the stuff we saw in the Alien movies. So the jaws, the face and all that stuff looked a lot more violent and disgusting. “
This was certainly an effective element that took the menacing aspect of the character to a scary new level. The predator is played by Dane DiLiegro, who talked about the costume:
“It’s interesting, you know, you’re not just a guy in a monkey suit. (They) did an amazing job building this suit, but you slide into it and you’re no longer human, you’re invincible and you’re this trophy hunter from a other planet and you turn into that and that’s the whole story and, Kevin Peter Hall (late actor from the first two Predator movies) and following in his footsteps was an amazing experience for me. As I said before, still sinking , I still can not believe it”.
This film is set in the Comanche nation 300 years ago in the 1700s and the story follows a Predator who is left on Earth to do a little hunt, and it is during this little hunt that he meets a Comanche warrior that he confronts along with.
The film follows a young woman named Naru, “a fierce and highly skilled warrior. She grew up in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her encampment, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she pursues, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a ferocious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.
The cast of the film includes Halftone amber (The Ice Road, Roswell, New Mexico), New arrival Dakota Beavers, Stormee Kipp (Sooyii), Michelle Tordo (The journey home), And Julian Black Antelope (tribal).
Prey will debut on Hulu on August 5th. It sucks that you won’t see it in the cinema.
