We have an extended clip to share with you today Neil Gaimanthe upcoming adaptation of the series of The man of sand. The clip features Dream / Morpheus (Tom Sturridge) in Hell where he faces Lucifer Morningstar (Gwendoline Christie).
This scene is in episode 4 of the series and in it Dream goes to hell to reclaim her Dream Helm stolen by one of Lucifer Morningstar’s demons. The scene also features Matthew the Raven (Patton Oswalt) and the assistant of Lucifer Mazikeen (Cassie Chiara).
In the series: “There is another world that awaits us all when we close our eyes and sleep – a place called Dreaming, where The Sandman, Master of Dreams (Tom Sturridge), shapes all our deepest fears and fantasies. But when Dream is unexpectedly captured and held captive for a century, his absence sets off a series of events that will forever change both the dream world and the waking world. To restore order, Dream must travel across different worlds and timelines to repair the mistakes he made during his vast existence, revisiting old friends and enemies and meeting new entities, both cosmic and human, along the way.
The show is based on the award-winning DC comic book series written by Neil Gaiman and is described as “a rich, character-driven blend of myth and dark fantasy woven over the course of ten epic chapters following Dream’s many adventures.”
The series was developed and produced by showrunner Gaiman Allan Heinberg (Wonder Woman, Grey’s Anatomy), And David S. Goyer (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Terminator: Dark Destiny, Foundation).
The series will premiere on Netflix on August 5, 2022.
