Over the weekend at San Diego Comic-Con, DC Animation hosted a world premiere screening of the animated film Green Lantern: Beware of my power. After the screening of the film, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment’s Gary Miereanu shared some news about some of their upcoming animated DC projects!
They announced it Batman and Superman: The Battle of the Super Sons will be released this fall, and then they revealed a new film project on the horizon titled Legion of Superheroesthe release of which is scheduled for 2023. There was not much information shared Legion of Superheroes film, but there is also a Legion of Superheroes series in the works for HBO Max. This is an adult-themed animated series developed by the comic creator Brian Michael Bendis.
Some of the other films that were announced during the panel include Batman: The fate that has come to Gothamother American Justice Society film, and Justice League: Warworld. There is also the RWBY x Justice League film, which was previously announced. Again, there isn’t much information to share about these films, but stay tuned for details as they emerge.
