New York actor Paul Sorvino died at the age of 83, as confirmed by his own family on social media. Sorvino, who suffered from diabetes, died on Monday 25 July of natural causes.. “Our hearts are broken, there will never be another Paul Sorvino, he was the love of my life and one of the greatest artists to ever grace the screen and stage.”said his wife, Dee Dee Sorvino, in a statement.

Sorvino’s woman herself was the first to announce the actor’s disappearance via her Twitter account. “I am completely devastated. The love of my life and the most wonderful man that ever lived are gone. My heart is broken.”.

Sorvino was born on April 13, 1939 in the New York neighborhood of Brooklyn. His father, of Italian descent, had a lot of arguments with her mother, which led the actor to spend most of her childhood living with her in California. His dream has always been to devote himself to opera, but due to asthma he was forced to focus on acting.. He studied at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and made his Broadway debut as a cop in the musical comedy Bajour in 1964. In 1970, Sorvino began his successful film career through the film “Where’s Daddy?”. Since, Sorvino ended up participating in more than 160 films, among which we can highlight ‘One of ours’, ‘Rojos’, ‘Rocketeer’ or ‘Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare’. His daughter and actress Mira Sorvino also expressed on her Twitter account the pain and sadness that means the death of her father. “My father, the great Paul Sorvino, is dead. My heart is torn. A life of love, joy and wisdom with him is over. He was the most wonderful father. I love him so much. He sent you love in the stars dad, as you go up”. Several followers responded to the tweet by sharing a video in which Sorvino cries of joy in the audience during Mira’s speech as winner of the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 1996.

Jane Lynch, Forest Whitaker, Ralph Macchio, Marlee Matlin or Holly Robinson Peete were other people who they wanted to dedicate a farewell message to Sorvino through social media.
