British actor David Warner has died at the age of 80, as confirmed by the BBC. He died of a cancer-related disease and his family explained it in a statement “In the last 18 months he has approached the diagnosis with his characteristic grace and dignity”. They greet him, pointing out that they will remember him as “a kind, generous and compassionate man, partner and father, whose legacy of overtime has marked the lives of many over the years”.

Born in Manchester, he lived much of the time with his father and stepmother. He went to eight schools and got bad grades in all of them. He attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and in the early 1960s made his stage debut at the Royal Court Theater with a small role in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. A year later he joined the Royal Shakespeare Company and continued to play various characters of the famous playwright throughout his career. He was afraid of the stage in the 70s following a performance of “Yo, Claudio” which went very badly, at which point he decided to devote himself almost entirely to cinema and televisioneven though he would return to the theater in 2001.

In 1963 he made the leap to television playing the villain of “Tom Jones”. A few years later he landed the lead role in the film ‘Morgan, a Case Study’, which earned him a BAFTA nomination.. At that point his career takes off, in which he ends up specializing in villain roles.
Some of his most remembered roles are, precisely, as a villain. Played Ed Dillinger in “Tron” and Spicer Lovejoy in “Titanic”. He also appeared in ‘That Unknown Country’, ‘In the Mouth of Fear’, in ‘Straw Dogs’, in’ The Prophecy ‘, in’ The Heroes of Time ‘, in the second season of’ Twin Peaks’, in ‘Star Trek ‘, in’ Doctor Who ‘, in’ Wallander ‘and in’ Mary Poppins Returns’, his latest film, in which he played Admiral Boom. In 1981 he won an Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a miniseries for ‘Masada’.
He was also a prolific voice actor. She was the voice of Ra’s al Ghul in the Batman and Superman animated series.the one archived in “Gargoyles, Mythological Heroes (Gargoyles)”, Herbert Landon in the “Spider-Man” series and Doctor Wrecker in “The Amazing World of Gumball”.
