New details on WHAT IF …? Season 2 included characters and stories

Marvel Studios has a second season of the animated series What happens if…? coming up and during a recent panel at Comic-Con we had some new details to share with you about what to expect. They also announced that we will have a season 3! For the most part, I enjoyed the first season of the anthology series, which tells the wild stories of the MCU’s Marvel characters in alternate universes.

During the panel, we learned some new details about what we can expect from the series in terms of the characters that will be involved and the stories that will be told.

There will be an episode revolving around Hela.

Captain Carter will meet the Winter Soldier.

We will see Odin take on The Mandaron.

Tony Stark will be on Sakaar with Valkyrie and Hulk and will include a race scene.

Footage was shown of Black Widow, Captain Carter and Hydra Stomper Steve moving through a city full of robots that look like 1960s-era humans.

Other characters involved include Gamora, Yondu, a young Peter Parker, Korg, Red Guardian, Ego, Shang-Chi, and The Grandmaster, who was shown winking at a statue of himself.

We’ll also see Thanos and Captain America face off again, and then there’s Bucky helping Red Guardian.

It also appears that there will be an episode set in 1602.

It was also revealed during the panel that the version of Captain Carter we see in is killed Doctor Stranger in the multiverse of madness is not the same version as What happens if…?. Executive producer Bryan Andrews said: “I think it is important to point out that it is not our Captain Carter. Brad Winderbaum added:” This is a variant version. Our Captain Carter wouldn’t have fallen like that. ”

What happens if…? writer AC Bradley He also said that the missing Gamora episode of the first season will appear as a prequel episode of the second. When asked if we would see Gamora in the series, Bradley said, “We definitely will. What happened with the Gamora episode originally had to be – at the start of the season – a Tony and Gamora-centric episode. However, due to COVID and production delays, one of our amazing and amazing animation houses around the world has been hit hard by the pandemic. And we have two picks left in Season 2, it’s almost going to be a bit of a prequel. , we’ll see how Tony and Gamora became friends, because those two don’t even interact in the main universe of the MCU. “

What happens if…? Season 2 will premiere in early 2023. Excited !?
