Three years after the eighth season of “Game of Thrones” ends, HBO is determined not to let its golden egg-laying goose die because is preparing seven to eight projects related to the universe created by George RR Martin in the novels. After thinking long and hard about the prequel they were going to make, they finally decided on “The Dragon’s House”, which will arrive on the platform only in a month, on August 22nd. But things don’t stop there: Westeros is back to stay.
Among the series in real action, The Hollywood Reporter anticipates that, in addition to the spin-off in the form of a sequel starring Kit Harington’s Jon Snow, Another yet unknown sequel is in development, a spin-off of Dunk and Egg (based on a series of short novels by Martin in the world of “A Song of Ice and Fire”) e another series centered on the Sea Serpent, or a young Lord Corlys Velaryon (whose actor, Steve Toussaint recently received racist attacks), who will also appear in the upcoming Targaryen spin-off.
There is also space for animation. In addition to these four live-action projects, HBO is preparing three more animated series (although it could be four). “Animated series are doing great”Martino commented.
