
Emmy nominated actress Cristina Hendricks (Mad Men, Good girls) will star in the series adaptation of the latest unfinished novel by author Edith Wharton, The buccaneers. Also featured is the Apple TV + drama series Kristine Froseth, Alisha Boe, Josie Tota, Aubri Ibrag, Imogene Waterhouse And Mia Threapleton. The script for the series was adapted from Katherine Jakewaywho wrote and acted The Tracey Ullman Show, and is directed by Desolate house And Kill generation helmsman Susanna Bianca.
In the yet to be titled series, “Hendricks’ Mrs. St. George is the mother of the buccaneers Nan and Jinny, played by Froseth and Waterhouse respectively. As a girl she was the prom beauty herself, before even dreaming of having money. Then, when her husband took gold on Wall Street, she found herself rich beyond her wildest dreams, but in real danger of being the kind of social climbing outsider that confused her. Above all, she wants her daughters are happy, but they will soon discover that marriage may not be the key to that happiness for any of them. “
