Sometimes, you want to play a tabletop RPG but don’t want to put in hours of work just learning the rules. Sometimes, you just want to change the pace from your weekly campaign or you want to try something different. This is where one-page TTRPGs excel.
Good, Elise Cretel (aka @DNDElise) recently shared The search for the goddess of the rock which is a one page RPG that gives the Game Master everything they need to create a fast paced adventure and players what they need to create characters.
Keep in mind that nothing is very elaborate, but it’s enough to have a fun night out. In The search for the goddess of the rock, the group must retrieve the rock goddess artifact (determined at random) from a creepy politician in their lair. The rules are very simple, the players will narrate their actions and at the GM’s discretion, roll a d20, add any modifiers they have and if the result is 11 or higher, they succeed. Otherwise, they fail. However, the group must be careful as failures will detonate the artifact and provide the characters with negative modifiers and with enough of those, the group fails and gets hit by rock goddesses.
