Lara Croft will have to continue waiting for instructions for her next mission to the cinema. In 2018, Alicia Vikander stepped into the shoes of the iconic video game adventurer in the reboot of “Tomb Raider”. With $ 274.7 million grossed worldwide, The film was quite successful, enough for a sequel to be launched shortly.. However, the pandemic has arrived and has started to complicate matters.
In January 2021 it was announced that the project would move forward despite setbacks, with “Lovecraft Territory” showrunner Misha Green as director and screenwriter, replacing Ben Wheatley (“Rebekah”). He has repeatedly expressed his desire to play the character again and also to work with Green.but fate – and company policies – are not making things easy for him.
