“The Boys” hasn’t received any nominations for the 2022 Emmy Awards, but why?

The third season of “The Boys” ended with some of the highest scores in the series, and while it was notable among fans and critics alike, it didn’t get any nominations in the upcoming 2022 Emmy Awards, despite everything it has a reason.

Unlike the second season, where ‘The boys’ was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Drama SeriesFor this year’s edition of the Best of Television Awards, the Amazon Prime Video program, nor its actors and actresses, managed to stand out in any of the award categories.

However, there is an important reason for his absence, since the third season of “The Boys” premiered from June 3 to July 8 this year, and for that reason, the superhero series could not be eligible for the 2022 Emmy Awardsas it was not considered for release.

This is The Television Academy only considers series released from June 1, 2021 to May 31, 2022so only 3 days away was enough for the third season of “The Boys” to enter the 2022 Emmy competition.

Will the boys be at the 2023 Emmy Awards?

Even if the third season of “The Boys” was released during those dates, it would have had to premiere all of its episodes to be considered. However, for the 2023 edition it may have a place, as happened with “Westworld”, “Obi-Wan Kenobi” and “Stranger Things” Volume 2.

This year’s edition of the Emmy Awards will be held on September 12, 2022, while the next awards ceremony has an early date of September 17, 2023, so it’s possible that the third season of “The Boys”, as well as its spin -off, ‘Gen V’, have a place in the celebration.

There is currently no release date, but the fourth season of “The Boys” is expected to release in 2023, at some point in the 12 months, as is “Gen-V”, the second spin-off of the Amazon Series series. Prime Video, and that may be the first time two series from the same universe have appeared at Emmys.
