Like a happy family? Daniel Kaluuya wants to make a live Barney movie

On more than one occasion, the great Hollywood actors have left to fill another role in the world of cinema and in the case of Daniel Kaluya, trying to be a producer. The first project he wants to develop with this title is very particular: a live action film Barney, the purple dinosaur of childhood.

The Oscar winner had previously revealed his intentions to make his debut as a film producer; however, it is still a date he cannot understand. The actor is just putting together a production company so that he can start being the one behind several films that interest him or that he himself wants to create; 59% of the company is already completed.

While he still has a little way to go before he can consolidate his production house, he already has some projects in the pipeline that he wants to develop with this film position. One of them is a live action movie barneythe famous purple dinosaur who starred in a children’s educational show in the 1990s.

In interview with The Hollywood reporter, Daniel Kaluuya talked about being a producer on Barney’s film and ensures that this project is the one with which he wants to show a different side from what he feels the public perceives with each of his works.

I love children’s movies. How did everyone get into the cinema? Watch children’s movies. I don’t want to limit myself to the limits of what I am perceived as, “she said.

While this film will try to show a different side of Daniel Kaluuya, it won’t exactly be a portrayal of the children’s show. Actually Barney will go to the big screen, but with a slightly darker story where the typical dinosaur line is questioned: “I love you, you love me, we are all a happy family”.
