A few months ago it was announced that Netflix would be developing its sixth season twilight zone-inspirational anthology series Black mirror. The cast was announced today, and as expected, there are some great actors who have come aboard!
Variety reports that the cast of the sixth season includes Zazie Beetz, Paapa Essiedu, Josh Hartnett, Aaron Paul, Kate Mara, Danny Ramirez, Clara Rugaard, Auden Thornton And Anjana Vasan.
The report notes that “this casting specifically covers three episodes, and it is intended that more actors will join for further episodes of the show.”
Black mirror Season 5 only had three episodes, so it’s good to know next season is going to have more than that!
Black mirror was created by Charlie Brooker, and is an anthology series that draws on our collective unease with the modern world, with each episode in its own right a poignant and suspenseful tale that explores the themes of contemporary techno-paranoia leading to an unforgettable and sometimes disturbing conclusion. Without questioning it, technology has transformed all aspects of our life; in every home; on every desk; in each palm – a plasma screen; a monitor; a smartphone: a black mirror that reflects our existence in the 21st century.
I’m a huge fan of the Black Mirror series and can’t wait to see what kind of stories this sixth season will tell!
