Both “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” and “Thor: Love and Thunder” are doing big at the box office (both in the top 3 of the year’s best previews along with “Jurassic World: Dominion”), but that’s not to be everything. pink for Marvel Studios. Recently, a Reddit post from special effects makers set fire to the internet after exposing the mistreatment and exploitation of company workers. However, looks like taika waititidirector of the last two episodes of Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ignored this series of complaints and, along with Tessa Thompson (Valkyiria), laughed at the special effects of a specific scene from her recently released film.

It was in an interview with Vanity Fair, in which the actress and director analyzed a scene with Valkyria, Korg (voiced by Waititi himself), Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster and Chris Hemsworth’s Thor. “Does it seem real to you?”the director asked pointing the finger at his character. “In this shot, not much”Thompson replied and then laughed. After this, the actress referred to some sort of facial gesture that Valkyria has in the backplane. “It doesn’t make sense but I love it”commented the actress, while Waititi added between the laughs that he “never noticed”.

Of course, the excerpt from the interview where visual effects mockery went viral on Twitter, and many people took the opportunity to blame Waititi and Thompson, as well as recalling the massive complaints from the special effects industry about the treatment received by Marvel Studios. Many of the reactions point to the inadequacy of laughter, and even more so considering how heated the environment has lately.
This is not funny, it is disrespectful and utterly inappropriate for the film’s director and, by extension, the visual effects team publicly insults the work of an underpaid, unorganized and overworked section of the cinema. https://t.co/rPgeB3aCkN

“This is not funny, this is disrespectful And it is highly inappropriate for the director of the film, and by extension the special effects team, to publicly insult the work of an underpaid, unorganized and overworked part of the industry. “reported a user.

Following that proposal, another of the users supported that idea: a workers union. “I wish all digital effects artists would come together massively”.
You neglect your precious life and connections to finish a shot in time for Marvel, then Taika Waititi can touch it with her finger and say “does it look real?” https://t.co/NEkXWSub6B

Harris Michael Brewis, better known in the internet world by his pseudonym Hbomberguy, took advantage of his position as a well-known YouTube and Twitch star to join the lawsuits. “You neglect your precious life and connections to finish a shot in time for Marvel.for Taika Waititi to come out and point a finger at her and say ‘Does it look real?’ “.
A chaotic style on and off the screen
It is not news that Taika Waititi, known for his shrewd and daring humor, jokes about this or that aspect of cinema or even his own films, as is the case. He recently referred to the scene where Hemsworth appears naked in the film to say so “train so hard you have to teach it”. He also drew teasing comments when he revealed that, by offering him a role in his next film, he hadn’t remembered Portman appearing in the “Star Wars” prequels. And, finally, he announced that he was “shocked” that “Stranger Things” had taken him away from playing Kate Bush’s song “Running Up That Hill”. What is clear is this Waititi does not change his way of being while directing, conveying all his sense of humor and spontaneity within the film. However, and as we’re starting to see, not everyone seems to like her.
