This is revealed by the exclusive information of Deadline with the creators of ‘Stranger Things’.

The project of the new anime adaptation will be entrusted to Matt and Ross Duffer, under a new company called Upside Down Pictures, in which only projects exclusive to the Netflix platform will be developed, and this time it will be in series format, in place of the film by Adam Wingard. .

As revealed by the Duffer brothers themselves, their production company Upside Down Pictures will work on “stories that are at that point where the extraordinary and the ordinary intersect, where the great show meets the intimate development of the character, and where the heart prevails over cynicism “, and this is where” Death Note “fits in.

However, and although the new live-action ‘Death Note’ is initially a second part of the story already known on Netflix, it is a completely different project, and one that will try to part with the infamous 2017 film starring Nat Wolff.

In addition to the adaptation of ‘Death Note’, Upside Down Pictures is also already working on another series based on a novel by Stephen King and Peter Straub, entitled ‘The Talisman’, released in 1984, where the creators of ‘Stranger Things ‘will join forces with Steven Spielberg’s production company and Paramount Television.
