SUPERGIRL filming is underway and it appears to involve Superman

According to new insider details, the next film will star Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El has entered a new filming cycle, and they are reportedly present David CorenswetIt’s Superman.

Industry insider Daniel Richtman has revealed that Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is currently filming two weeks of additional scenes involving the Man of Steel, potentially expanding the on-screen connection between Kara Zor-El and Clark Kent in the DCU.

The film originally wrapped principal photography in May, with cameras rolling again this week for new material.

Fans recently noticed that the Superman costume on display at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour had been removed. A sign left in its place read: “The Superman costume is currently in use by production.” While some believed that this indicated The man of tomorrowthe project is still in the early stages of development. The most likely explanation is that the dress is used for Supergirl.

A report from The Hollywood Reporter also confirmed this Supergirl: the woman of tomorrow recently held a private screening in Burbank for studio executives and Gunn’s DC team, suggesting that the creative team is prepping the film ahead of its release.

Milly Alcock plays Kara Zor-El, marking her full debut after a brief appearance in Superman. She was joined by Eva Ridley as Ruthye Mary Knolle, Matthias Schoenaerts like Krem of the Yellow Hills, David Krumholtz as Zor-El, Emily Beecham like Alura, and Jason Momoa in the role of Lobo.

Writer Ana Nogueira he anticipated that his version of Supergirl will stand out from other portraits, saying it is “rougher, grittier, edgier and funnier”. He added that this shot will explore Kara’s deep trauma after witnessing the destruction of Krypton.

Gunn previously explained the difference between his two Kryptonian protagonists: “In our series we see the difference between Superman who was sent to Earth and raised by loving parents from the time he was a baby, versus Supergirl who grew up on a rock and watched everyone around her die.”
