Rosario Dawson says Ahsoka Tano will continue to ‘find joy’ in AHSOKA Season 2

Rosario Dawson recently revealed where her Star Wars character Ahsoka Tano will be headed in the second season of Ahsokaand it seems the once stoic warrior will embrace a lighter, more joyful side of herself.

Speaking at Comic-Con Scotland, Dawson shared: “He had more gravitas to begin with, and he was a little more unflappable. And I like that he’s relaxing, he’s finding his joy again.”

“I think about those moments with Hayden [Christensen] and Anakin were so important to her to heal something so she could be more present. And that’s what I really like.

“I think we’re going to explore this a lot more in season two… I’m really happy to be able to add more joy to her life and see her relax a little more and work in the community a little more than she has so far.”

That connection with Anakin Skywalker was a key turning point for Ahsoka in season one. After losing the duel with Baylan Skoll, she was dragged into the World Between Worlds by her former master, where the two finally reconciled.

When she returned, dressed in a stunning all-white outfit, it symbolized her evolution, almost like a Gandalf the White moment for the Star Wars universe.

Hayden Christensen has confirmed that it will return for season two, but Lucasfilm is keeping story details tightly under wraps. What we do know is that Admiral Ackbar will make an appearance and clash with Grand Admiral Thrawn, setting up a galactic clash that looks to be of epic proportions.

The first footage shown behind closed doors at Star Wars Celebration 2025 teased massive battles spanning two galaxies.

Following the passing of Ray Stevenson, game of Thrones alum Rory McCann is stepping into the role of Baylan Skoll. Fans can also expect to see more of him Mary Elizabeth WinsteadHera Syndulla, who teased a more action-packed role this time.

“You know, I’m not sure what I can say, other than I’m into this season a little bit more, which is fun,” Winstead said. “I’m definitely more into the action, as you say, and it’s been great to actually have a Hera, kind of, you know, get some things done.

“So yeah, honestly, I won’t say much more, just because I haven’t [been] given my guidelines again. So I’ll leave things at that. But it was so much fun. I just finished it and it was a blast. I loved every minute of it. So I can’t wait for people to see it.”

While there’s no official release date for Ahsoka season 2 yet, it’s clear that the next chapter will focus not only on the galactic conflict but on Ahsoka’s personal growth and emotional healing.

The next step for Star Wars fans is Visions Volume 3, arriving on Disney+ on October 29th, followed by the highly anticipated return to the big screen with The Mandalorian and Grogu.
