While we’re still getting through the Season 4 finale of “Stranger Things”, we obviously can’t wait to hear about it. when the fifth season of the Duffer brothers’ series arrives on Netflix, which will be the definitive conclusion of the story of Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and the Hawkins mysteries. The streaming platform hasn’t released a statement yet, but those who have given some early clues are David Harbor and the creators of the series.

In an interview with GQ, the actor who plays Hopper dropped that, in practice, we’re going to have to be patient: “I think we will shoot next year. They’re going to finish writing it this year, and they need to get it ready and stuff, so hopefully it’s this year. But I think this is the plan. So based on our track record, it will likely come out in mid-2024.”. Two years of waiting? If we could with the three who were between seasons three and four, with a pandemic in between, two years would have been a breeze.
Matt and Ross Duffer told Collider more details about their short-term plans, starting by saying they’re taking a well-deserved vacation in July. “Then we’ll be back. I know that the writing team will start in the first week of August” says Ross Duffer. Everything would coincide with what David Harbor says: write the scripts this year, record the chapters next year, and publish them on Netflix in 2024.
The two seasons were planned at the same time
The creators of “Stranger Things” had already commented a long time ago that the pandemic allowed them to be clear on the history of seasons 4 and 5 before starting to shoot the fourth: “We had all the scripts before we started shooting, so we could see them all together. And we outlined all five of them. So it’s actually four and five together, and that was because of the six month hiatus we had from the pandemic. We don’t usually have a lot of time. It usually looks like the train is about to roll off the rails and Ross, the writers and I are pulling the rails as we go, mid-season.. For the first time we will be able to look at everything on a global level, not only with the fourth season but also with the fifth “ Matt Duffer explained.
But will the fifth be the definitive end of ‘Stranger Things’? It has long been rumored that the series could have a spin-off, and David Harbor is convinced that it will: “I think as soon as the series ends, or maybe six months after it ends, you’ll find out about the spinoffs they have planned”. But he doesn’t have one from Hopper, at least not him: “At this point, I think Hopper is a character who can exist independently of me. If they want to go back in time or move forward … I’d love to see another actor play Hopper and see what I could do with him.”. Suggestion? Jacob Elordi, why “I could guess how handsome I was when I was twenty”.
